Dr. Rosenthal is Professor and Founding Director, University of Kentucky Program for Bioethics and the Markey Cancer Center Oncology Ethics Program.

Biography

Dr. Rosenthal is Professor and Founding Director, University of Kentucky Program for Bioethics and the Markey Cancer Center Oncology Ethics Program. She has appointments in the Departments of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Behavioral Science and is Chair of the University of Kentucky Healthcare Ethics Committee. Her scholarship, reflected in numerous publications, focuses on endocrine ethics, reproductive ethics, and clinical ethics, including multimedia work on moral distress (www.moraldistressproject.org). She is Past Chair of the American Thyroid Association’s former Ethics Advisory Committee (2013-15), past member of the Endocrine Society’s former Advisory Committee on Ethics and Conflict of Interest (2006-2008). She has served as the bioethicist on multiple published clinical practice guidelines.
